About Teprotide
Teprotide is a synthetic peptide that was originally developed as an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. ACE inhibitors are medications commonly used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure.
Teprotide specifically inhibits the activity of ACE, an enzyme involved in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), which regulates blood pressure and fluid balance in the body.
