About Eptifibatide Acetate Salt
Eptifibatide Acetate Salt is a novel peptide platelet glycoprotein Ⅱb/Ⅲa receptor antagonist, which inhibits platelet aggregation and thrombus formation by inhibiting the last common pathway of platelet aggregation. Compared with the monoclonal antibody abciximab, eptifibatide has a stronger, more directional and specific binding to GPⅡb/Ⅲa due to a single conservative amino acid substitution—lysine replacing arginine. Therefore, it should have a good therapeutic effect in the interventional treatment of acute coronary syndrome.
Eptifibatide Acetate Salt is a glycoprotein (GP) IIb/IIIa receptor (platelet coagulation factor I receptor) antagonist. By selectively and reversibly inhibiting the final common pathway of platelet aggregation (plasma coagulation due to the combination of coagulation factor Ⅰ and GPⅡb/Ⅲa), the ischemic state caused by thrombosis can be reversed.
Eptifibatide Acetate Salt is indicated for the treatment of acute coronary syndromes, including unstable angina/non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, in patients undergoing drug therapy or percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
