About Ethyl 3-oxo-4-phenylbutanoate
Ethyl 3-oxo-4-phenylbutanoate is a useful synthetic intermediate. It is used to prepare pyrazolone derivatives as antiprion compounds. It is also used to prepare pyrrolinylaminopyrimidine analogs as inhibitors of AP-1 and NF-κB mediated gene expression.
Ethyl 3-oxo-4-phenylbutanoate has been studied for its potential medical applications. It has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects in laboratory studies. In addition, it has been shown to reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines in animal models. The compound has also been studied for its potential as a treatment for Alzheimer's disease, and its ability to reduce the formation of amyloid-β plaques in the brain.
