Polyaspartic acid is a biodegradable, water-soluble polymerized amino acid. It is a biodegradable replacement for water softeners and related applications.
Polyaspartic acid is a water-soluble polymer that naturally occurs in the mucus of marine organisms with shells such as oysters. Polyaspartic acid has the characteristics of anionic surfactant because it contains active groups such as peptide bonds and carboxyl groups, and its chelating, dispersing, spreading, film-forming, and adhesion capabilities are outstanding and compatible.
