About Tetrahydropalmatine (THP)
Tetrahydropalmatine is extracted from Corydalis family.
Tetrahydropalmatine is used as an alternative to anxiolytic and sedative drugs of the group and analgesics such as opiates.
The analgesic effect of tetrahydropalmatine is weaker than that of peperidine, but stronger than that of antipyretic analgesics. It is better for chronic persistent pain and visceral dull pain, but less effective for trauma, postoperative pain or advanced cancer pain.
