Allium fistulosum
Allium fistulosum is a member of the onion family, Alliaceae.It is very similar in taste and odor to the related garden onion,TAllium fistulosum is widely used in cooking. It is an important ingredient in Asian cuisine, especially in East and Southeast Asia. It is used for adding green leaves to salads in Russia in the spring.It is also used in miso soup, negimaki (beef and scallion rolls) and in the takoyaki dumpling dish, among others in Japan.
